and The Jackson Laboratory
today announced the full commercial launch of the Affymetrix®
Mouse
Diversity
Genotyping Array. This is the first high-density
genotyping
array that enables researchers to study the complexity of the mouse
genome and
the diversity among mouse strains.

Caliper Life Sciences, a Hopkinton, MA-based provider
of life sciences research products and services, said
today that it has sold its small animal services business, Xenogen Biosciences
(XenBio), to the laboratory rodent provider Taconic Farms for about 11 million USD.
