This site contains the reference sequence and working draft assemblies for a large collection of genomes, and provides genome browser, gene sorter, blast search function, and publications

The Sequence Manipulation Suite

The Sequence Manipulation Suite is a collection of JavaScript programs for generating, formatting, and analyzing short DNA and protein sequences. It is commonly used by molecular biologists, for teaching, and for program and algorithm testing.

Colony Management Software

Mouse colony management systems have revolutionized labs, allowing researchers to shift their focus away from colony management by streamlining workflow and reducing human error, freeing up time, money and potentially space. Here are several commercially available colony management softwares:

Soft Mouse

SoftMouse Internet Colony Management System tracks breeding, pedigrees, cages, mice, litters, genotypes, mouselines, transgenic, etc. The system is ideal for animal technicians and biomedical researchers in small and large laboratories.

Mosaic Vivarium

Mosaic Vivarium helps facility managers and investigators make timely, intelligent and cost-saving decisions about laboratory animal resources. Get instant answers on cage density, mating productivity, colony aging, IACUCcounts, per diems and more.

Lab Guru

Lab Guru tracks your entire rodent research story, from strains to specimens to cages. Integrate with your research by linking rodents to related projects, storage locations, materials, experiments and results. Schedule and plan experiments easily. Receive reminders for maintenance tasks.

mLIMS is a web-based animal colony management system. It helps researchers to improve efficiency and save animal costs dramatically. mLIMScomes with real-time summaries, auto-reminders for animal events, powerful search function, and advanced tools for cage cards, pedigree, mating and litter operations. It’s 100% web-based, easy to use, and perfect for managing animal data within a research group.

JAX Colony Management System

The JAX Colony Management System (JCMS) is a free and community supported multi-user relational database system for managing research mouse colonies. It has a broad user-community with over 4,500 people currently signed up on the JCMS user support list. Newly released JCMS Web runs on any platform and most modern web browsers.
