About Pdyn Mouse Model Types

A Pdyn knockout mouse has the Pdyn gene permanently inactivated, enabling loss of function studies. A Pdyn conditional knockout (floxed) mouse carries loxP sites flanking a critical exon of Pdyn, allowing Cre recombinase dependent deletion in specific tissues or at specific timepoints. Pdyn knockin models carry a precisely inserted sequence at the Pdyn locus, useful for reporter, tag, or humanization studies.
