A Th knockout mouse has the Th gene permanently inactivated, enabling loss of function studies. A Th conditional knockout (floxed) mouse carries loxP sites flanking a critical exon of Th, allowing Cre recombinase dependent deletion in specific tissues or at specific timepoints. Th knockin models carry a precisely inserted sequence at the Th locus, useful for reporter, tag, or humanization studies. Th transgenic models carry additional copies of the Th gene for overexpression studies.
