A Prrx1 knockout mouse has the Prrx1 gene permanently inactivated, enabling loss of function studies. A Prrx1 conditional knockout (floxed) mouse carries loxP sites flanking a critical exon of Prrx1, allowing Cre recombinase dependent deletion in specific tissues or at specific timepoints. Prrx1 knockin models carry a precisely inserted sequence at the Prrx1 locus, useful for reporter, tag, or humanization studies.
