Because atezolizumab and durvalumab do not cross-react, epitope-matched humanization is the decisive allele for checkpoint pharmacology and biomarker work, whereas conditional deletion with tumor cell, dendritic cell, or endothelial Cre resolves which compartment enforces suppression.
